I am an author, speaker, leadership coach, retired U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer, and woman of faith whose life has been shaped by resilience, healing, and purpose.
Born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, I am the eighth of ten children and was raised in a family grounded in faith and strong values. From an early age, I learned the importance of perseverance, service, and compassion—lessons that would guide me through both triumphs and challenges.
For years, I carried the weight of experiences I never spoke aloud—childhood trauma, grief, shame, military sexual trauma, leadership pressures, and the burden of always being the strong one. Like many women, I became skilled at surviving while silently carrying wounds no one could see. I learned to push through pain, meet expectations, and care for others, often at my own expense.
Through faith, therapy, self-discovery, and God's unwavering grace, I began the journey from silence to healing. That journey ultimately became the foundation for She Said Nothing, my debut memoir and the first book in The SHE Series—a collection of books, conversations, and experiences created to help women reclaim their voices, embrace their stories, and discover freedom beyond their past.
I served honorably in the United States Navy for twenty-three years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer after a distinguished career that took me around the world. During my military service, I held leadership positions including Maintenance Officer, Assistant Department Head, Equal Opportunity Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, and Administrative Supervisor. I earned multiple military commendations and developed a passion for leadership, mentoring, and helping others reach their full potential.
Following my military career, I built a successful career in Human Resources and leadership development. With more than twenty-five years of leadership experience, I have become a trusted executive leader, coach, facilitator, and strategic business partner. I am known for my ability to build meaningful relationships, develop leaders, and create environments where people can thrive personally and professionally.
I also hold a Doctorate in Church Leadership, a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies, and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. I am a SHRM-SCP and PHR-certified Human Resources professional, a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker, and the founder of Andrews Advantage, LLC, a leadership coaching and consulting firm dedicated to helping individuals and organizations maximize their potential.
A licensed Evangelist Missionary in the Church of God in Christ, I have spent decades teaching, mentoring, and serving God's people. My ministry is rooted in practical biblical application, spiritual growth, emotional wellness, and helping others discover the purpose God has placed within them.
In addition to my professional and ministry leadership, I am an active member of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. (NANBPWC, Inc.), where I currently serve as Parliamentarian for the West Central Georgia Club. Through this organization, I support initiatives focused on leadership development, education, economic empowerment, and community service, continuing my lifelong commitment to uplifting and empowering others.
Above all else, I treasure my roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, mentor, and servant leader. My husband, Elder Kelvin Andrews, and I have shared more than four decades of marriage and are blessed with children and grandchildren who bring immeasurable joy to our lives.
Today, through my writing, speaking engagements, coaching, and ministry, I create safe spaces for honest conversations about trauma, faith, emotional healing, leadership, and personal transformation. My mission is to help others move from silence to wholeness, from surviving to thriving, and from brokenness to purpose.
Your silence is not your shame. Your healing is possible. And your voice matters.
For years, I carried stories I never told.
Like many women, I learned how to survive by staying silent—silent about pain, disappointment, loss, and the weight of expectations. From the outside, I appeared strong, successful, and resilient. Yet beneath the accomplishments were moments that shaped me, challenged me, and ultimately transformed me.
She Said Nothing was born from a desire to break the cycle of silence and create space for healing, reflection, and truth. This book is not just my story; it is an invitation for you to examine your own journey, find strength in your experiences, and discover the power of your voice.
My hope is that in reading this book, you will recognize that silence may be part of your story, but it does not have to define your future. There is healing after heartbreak, purpose after pain, and freedom in finding the courage to speak.
She Said Nothing is a testament to God's grace, the resilience of the human spirit, and the transformative power of finally being heard.
